About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Associate to join our dynamic team at Orion Dockyard Inc. in Orion, Bataan. This full-time position will play a crucial role in managing the company's accounts receivable and credit control processes, ensuring efficient cash flow and financial stability.

What you'll be doing

  • Handling all accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, follow-up on outstanding payments, and reconciliation of customer accounts
  • Monitoring and managing the company's credit control procedures to minimize bad debts and maintain a healthy cash flow
  • Preparing and analyzing ageing reports, identifying potential credit risks, and recommending appropriate actions
  • Liaising with customers to resolve billing inquiries and disputes in a timely and professional manner
  • Assisting with the preparation of financial reports and providing insights to support the accounting team
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in the company's accounting systems
  • Supporting other ad-hoc accounting and administrative tasks as required

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
  • At least 2 years of work-related experience
  • Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices
  • Familiarity with debit, credits, and core financial recording functions related to AR
  • Proficiency with specific accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and general ledger systems
  • Knowledge in bank reconciliation, BIR reports and financial statements
  • Experience in recording of sales receipts, preparing and monitoring of cash position report

  • Proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
