Your role:
As a Accounts Payable Assistant, you will:
Under the direction of the Global Accounts Payable Manager of Shared Services, this position is responsible for acquiring and processing supplier invoices, assisting in the reconciliation of accounts, and ensuring optimum customer service to the companies' business partners.
Essential Functions:
- Promote, demonstrate and instill Brock's Bsafe and Bbest culture in all aspects of the business
- Review incoming invoices for processing
- Data entry of vendor invoices for payment
- Research discrepancies and unapproved/unpaid invoices
- Providing basic analysis, research and assist with internal and external vendor inquiries, and
- Research aged invoices and determine proper resolution
- Perform periodic vendor statement reconciliationsto ensure all invoices for the company have been collected and processed by Shared Service Accounts Payable
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of weekly AP reporting
Working Conditions:
- Working indoors in an office environment
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Must demonstrate excellent customer service responsiveness
- Ability to resolve issues while maintaining good working relationships
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate with all levels of personnel in large organization distributed throughout the company
- Adaptable to changes in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrates conflict resolution and critical thinking skills
- Must have excellent organizational skills
- Must be deadline oriented and ability to handle multiple, competing priorities on individual and team assignments
- Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Must have Intermediate skill level in Excel
Education Experience:
- Minimum of 5+ in general accounting
Non-negotiables:
- At least 5+ years of general accounting experience
- Strong customer service responsiveness
- Solid communication skills (written & verbal)
- Intermediate Excel skills
