Role Overview We are a U.S.-based mortgage brokerage seeking an experienced Social Media & Video Content Manager to fully own and manage our social media presence. This role is ideal for someone who understands mortgage and/or real estate marketing, enjoys content creation, and can independently plan, edit, schedule, and engage across multiple platforms. The goal is to build a consistent, professional, and growing social media presence without requiring heavy oversight.
Key Responsibilities Social Media Management ● Manage and schedule consistent posts across: ○ TikTok ○ Instagram ○ Facebook ○ LinkedIn ● Create and manage a posting calendar ● Ensure regular, on-brand posting cadence ● Like, comment, and engage to grow reach and visibility ● Maintain a professional and compliant presence appropriate for mortgage/real estate marketing
Video & Reels Content ● Edit short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) ● Add captions/subtitles with accurate English spelling and grammar ● Perform basic video editing: ○ Clean cuts ○ Simple transitions ○ Formatting for different platforms ● Repurpose 1-minute recorded videos into multiple platform-ready assets ● Optimize videos for engagement and platform best practices
Content Creation Support ● Assist with creating mortgage/real estate–relevant content ideas ● Repurpose existing content into new formats ● Maintain visual and messaging consistency across platforms ● Follow compliance-conscious language appropriate for the mortgage industry Must-Have Requirements
  • Prior experience in mortgage or real estate marketing (required)
  • Proven experience managing social media for service-based businesses
  • Strong understanding of short-form video content (Reels/TikTok)
  • Video editing experience (portfolio required)
  • Ability to write clear, professional captions in English
  • Familiarity with social media engagement strategies
  • Ability to work independently and maintain consistency without micromanagement
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience specifically in mortgage brokerage marketing
  • Knowledge of U.S. real estate or lending industry trends
  • Experience growing social accounts organically
  • Canva or similar design tools
  • Understanding of compliance-sensitive industries
Tools & Platforms
  • TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn
  • Video editing tools (editor's choice, as long as output quality is strong)
  • Scheduling tools (as recommended/approved)
