In this role, you'll be responsible for the safe and eBicient operation of our 6-wheel refrigerated trucks, ensuring the timely delivery of temperature-sensitive goods while maintaining strict quality control. Responsibilities:

  • Operate a 6-wheel reefer truck, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor and adjust the refrigeration unit to maintain optimal temperature settings throughout the delivery process.
  • Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, including the refrigeration unit, tires, brakes, and other critical components specific to 6-wheel vehicles.
  • Load and unload cargo safely, using proper handling equipment and methods to avoid damage.
  • Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or spoilage during transit.
  • Maintain accurate records of delivery documentation, including temperature logs, mileage, and delivery times or confirmation.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients regarding schedules and delivery status.
  • Follow assigned delivery routes and ensure on-time arrivals.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and professional appearance of the truck at all times.
  • Report any mechanical issues, delays, or incidents promptly to the supervisor or dispatch team.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B (required).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience operating 6-wheel reefer trucks.
  • Thorough knowledge of reefer unit operation and temperature management.
  • Familiarity with local and regional delivery routes.
  • Clean driving record with no recent accidents or violations.
  • Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
