Responsibilities

  • Works with other members of the team to render comprehensive emergency nursing care to all patients.
  • Examines and evaluates patients to determine necessary care
  • Provides patients with emergency care by utilizing appropriate techniques and equipment
  • Documents patient information, condition, and treatment
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and perform all care with respect for patient rights
  • Maintains a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients
  • Provides basic life support and gather patient data
  • Supervises, directs, and monitors the activities of each team member, providing them with a set of duties and responsibilities and ensuring that these are carried out properly and efficiently.
  • Supervises lines of communication among the crew, Central Office, clients/patients, the base hospitals, and physicians.
  • Supervises the maintenance of assigned ambulances, its equipment, and supplies.
  • Ensures that the physician's orders are carried out properly.
  • Accurately and truthfully documents Ambulance Trip Tickets, Patient Assessment Sheets, Receipt of Payments, and other pertinent forms.
  • Accounts for all currency on hand during the tour of duty.
  • Constantly communicates with Central.
  • Acts as navigator en route to the patient.
  • Maintains a presentable appearance, good grooming, and always dresses in full uniform as prescribed in the Company handbook.
  • Ensures strict implementation of company guidelines and rules.

Occasional Tasks

  • Evaluates the performance of junior crew members and trainees.
  • Orients the junior team members on proper protocols and procedures and the application thereof.
  • Operates and drive ambulance in conjunction with applicable safety policies and laws
  • Transports patients in accordance with outlined policies and procedures
  • Participates in lectures, seminars, and meetings required by management.
  • Performs all other duties attuned with the company's line of work as assigned by the Shift Manager, Operations Manager, or the Medical Director.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Registered Nurse (Bachelor's Degree in Nursing)
  • EMT training from an accredited institution (either Basic, Advanced, or Paramedic)
  • Updated Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification
  • Updated Basic Life Support Certification
  • Updated IV Training Course Certification
  • Any background in healthcare
  • At least 6 months up to 1 year of experience as an EMT in the ambulance
  • Maintains an adequate level of physical fitness as required by the rigors of the job.

Special Job Requirements

  • Must have the following senses intact: sight, touch, and hearing.
  • Perfect use of all limbs - able to ambulate without support, without limitation of movement from all major joints.
  • Able to lift, with a partner, a gurney with a patient weighing 60kg.
  • Willing to be assign anywhere within Metro Manila or Provincial Posts.
