JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION : PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICER (PIO)

REPORTING TO : PRESIDENT & CEO

Job Function:

You will be responsible for developing media strategies that promote a positive public image, organizing interviews between media and the executives, and stepping in to manage and alleviate any public relations crises which may occur.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an updated database of media organizations and their contacts.
  • Manage the company's social media communications and online presence.
  • Regularly meet with and conduct interviews with media personnel.
  • Create and produce internal newsletters and communication materials for the organization.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the press across various media platforms.
  • Serve as the organization's spokesperson when required.
  • Write, edit, and distribute a range of content, including website materials, press releases, marketing content, and other public communications.
  • Prepare and manage the organization's communication and public relations budget.
  • Collaborate with executive management and the marketing team to ensure a cohesive public image.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to organize and host public events and promotions.
  • Represent the organization and address public or media inquiries.

Job Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar or related role
  • Proven experience in public relations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of both traditional and social media platforms
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Willingness to travel on short notice
  • Excellent public speaking and interpersonal skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php35, Php40,000.00 per month
