JOB DESCRIPTION

During Event Setup:

• Assist with setup: Set up tables, serving stations, or buffet tables for service.
• Prepare the event space: Ensure the banquet hall is clean and organized before guests arrive.
• Prepare serving equipment: Ensure all necessary serving utensils, glassware, and linens are ready.

During Event Service:

• Greet guests: Welcome guests and direct them to their seats.
• Take food and beverage orders: If applicable, take orders from guests and relay them to the kitchen and bar.
• Serve food and beverages: Ensure food and drinks are served promptly and efficiently.
• Refill beverages: Keep guests' drinks topped off.
• Clear plates and dishes: Remove used plates and dishes between courses.
• Address guest needs: Answer questions and address any concerns guests may have.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment: Clean up spills and messes promptly.

During Event Cleanup:

• Assist with cleanup: Clear tables and gather used items.
• Return equipment: Return serving equipment to the kitchen or designated areas.
• Help with event breakdown: Assist with dismantling the event space after the event concludes.

Other Responsibilities:

• Maintain a high level of cleanliness: Keep the banquet hall and surrounding areas tidy.
• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines: Ensure food handling and service practices are safe and hygienic.
• Provide excellent customer service: Be friendly, attentive, and helpful to guests.

Work as part of a team: Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a smooth and efficient event.

JOB SPECIFICATION

• Bachelor's/ College Degree of Hospitality Manager or other related course
• Additional education, training, certificates, or experience may be required.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Positive, engaging personality, and professional appearance.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong task and time management abilities.
• Eye for detail and understanding of banquet service
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs.
