  • Bachelor's Degree in Geology or Geotechnical Engineering or a related field of study and PRC licensed
  • At least 3 years' experience in mining related field geotechnical surveys, including geotechnical logging of drill core and testing pitting
  • Familiar with International standards for core logging and test pitting
  • Previous experience with televiewer surveying, packer testing and piezeometer installation preferred
  • Strong communicator, both orally and in writing.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Flexible and able to meet challenging deadlines
  • A self-starter with sound judgment and decisiveness
  • A team player with a strong client focus

Duties will include:


• Geotechnical logging of diamond drill holes as part of feasibility studies


• Analysis of geotechnical data from core logging, televiewer surveys, packer tests and piezometers


• Soil and rock geotechnical sampling


• Mapping of geotechnical test pits


• Supervising field geotechnical crews


• Co-ordination of geophysical surveys related to geotechnical studies


• Daily, weekly and monthly report writing


• Assisting management staff and consultants on geotechnical projects
