Key Responsibilities

  • Concept & Design

  • Develop new product concepts based on customer requirements, market research, and business objectives.

  • Conduct feasibility studies, prototyping, and early-stage testing.

  • Product Development & Engineering

  • Lead technical development of products through design, analysis, validation, and optimization.

  • Perform engineering calculations, tolerance stack-ups, material selection, and risk analyses (e.g., FMEA).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, QA, supply chain, marketing).

  • Prototyping & Testing

  • Build and evaluate prototypes to assess performance, durability, and user experience.

  • Create test plans, analyze test results, and iterate on design improvements.

  • Manufacturing Support

  • Work with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless production scale-up.

  • Support design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide engineering solutions.

  • Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare engineering documentation, BOMs, revision control, and technical reports.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.

  • Project Management

  • Plan and manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables.

  • Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 2–5+ years of experience in product development, engineering design, or R&D.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, Fusion 360, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering fundamentals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to innovate.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills (Optional)

  • Experience with FEA/CFD analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of statistical methods, DOE, or Six Sigma.
  • Familiarity with agile development processes.
  • Experience with regulatory environments (ISO, FDA, CE, automotive/ aerospace standards, etc.).
