The Ophthalmology Technician Nurse will assist ophthalmologists in the assessment and care of patients by operating diagnostic equipment and conducting preliminary testing. This role requires a blend of clinical nursing skills and technical proficiency in ophthalmic diagnostic tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain ophthalmic diagnostic equipment, including:

  • Perimetry Machine

  • Fundus Camera
  • OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) Machine
  • Specular Microscope
  • Prepare patients for procedures and ensure proper positioning for accurate imaging and testing.
  • Collect and record patient medical history, visual acuity, and other baseline measurements.
  • Support the ophthalmologist in clinic flow, patient education, and post-procedure care instructions.
  • Ensure equipment calibration, cleanliness, and compliance with safety standards.
  • Assist in documentation and filing of diagnostic reports in coordination with the clinic team.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with valid PRC license
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in an eye center, ophthalmology clinic, or diagnostic facility
  • Hands-on experience with the above-listed ophthalmic equipment is required
  • Good interpersonal skills and attention to detail
