Lead Product Controller

Partners Group's Closed-Ended Fund Control team is seeking a talented Lead Fund Controller to join our growing Manila team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring proper oversight and control of our private equity funds, particularly closed-ended commingled funds and mandates. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic global team and our strategic partners, contributing to the continued success of Partners Group.

• Proactively collaborate with the Financial Reporting team to manage and oversee the audit process for closed-ended funds.
• Engage closely with auditors throughout the audit cycle to ensure the highest quality of the audited financial statements, as well as the efficiency and timeliness of all audit-related activities.
• Review and approve Net Asset Values and Financial Statements for closed-ended comingled funds and mandates prepared by external service providers. Including monitoring performance and rationalizing the NAV movement within the portfolio, by overseeing financial controls and reporting.
• Operate and enhance firm-wide private markets processes and systems.
• Ensure completeness, accuracy and timeliness of legal and regulatory deliverables to our clients.
• Assist third-party partners associated with our funds, including auditors, fund administrators, and custodians, by coordinating workflows and reviewing deliverables.
• Serve as a key fund expert within the firm for assigned funds (operations, accounting, financial reporting, hedging, valuations, new product onboarding, service provider oversight).
• Foster open communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to achieve optimal results.
• Identify and contribute to process improvement initiatives across the business unit or department.

What we expect

• Bachelor's degree in accounting; CA, ACCA, CPA preferred; experience in IFRS, Lux GAAP, US GAAP is an advantage
• Minimum 7 years of relevant working experience including extensive experience in coordinating and driving Service Providers, managing multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines. Background in accounting, controlling or financial audit functions; experience in private markets fund accounting is a plus.
• Passion for numbers and quantitative analysis.
• Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a proactive, self-motivated work ethic.
• Responsible, accountable, flexible, and adaptable with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and diverse global environment.
• Passion for working within a leading private markets firm and contributing to its continued success.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (English)
