As a Systems Administrator at Kyndryl, you'll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across a wide spectrum of platforms and services. You'll be at the forefront of modernization and cloud-native technologies, working with some of our biggest clients—many of whom are among the largest in the world.

We are currently hiring for two specialized Systems Administrator roles under this single job post. Please indicate in your application which role you are applying for.

Systems Administrator – RedHat Linux/AIX

This role is ideal for candidates with strong foundational experience in Linux or AIX systems administration. You'll be responsible for maintaining secure, stable, and efficient server environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Run shell commands and manage environments

  • Organize and secure files and directories

  • Manage users, groups, and security policies

  • Control systemd services and boot processes

  • Configure network interfaces and firewall settings

  • Install and manage software using DNF/Yum

  • Manage storage devices, logical volumes, and file systems

  • Run and manage containers

Systems Administrator – OpenShift Specialist

In this role, you'll focus on managing and optimizing OpenShift clusters and Kubernetes environments. You'll work closely with DevOps, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing containerized workloads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure OpenShift clusters (IPI, UPI, Assisted Installer)

  • Manage Kubernetes resources (Pods, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Operators)

  • Implement RBAC, OAuth, LDAP/AD authentication

  • Secure networks using SDN, Multus, and NetworkPolicies

  • Manage persistent storage (Ceph, NFS, GlusterFS, CSI)

  • Configure Ingress, HAProxy, Service Mesh (Istio), and DNS

  • Automate CI/CD with Tekton, ArgoCD, and GitOps workflows

  • Monitor clusters with Prometheus, Grafana, and EFK stack

  • Automate with OpenShift CLI, Ansible, Terraform, Bash/Python/Go

  • Plan and execute backup, restore, and disaster recovery

  • Deploy across hybrid/multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, on-prem)
