Job Summary:

The Pump Operator plays a key role in managing and maintaining the water supply and distribution system within the assigned area. This position ensures that water supply operations comply with PNSDW standards, guaranteeing safe and reliable water delivery to residential and commercial consumers.

The role also involves monitoring water systems, maintaining pumping facilities, assisting customers with water-related concerns, and ensuring the efficient operation of all water infrastructure.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor daily water operations, including resolution of service-related complaints and sanitation of all water tanks and pump houses.
  • Track incoming and outgoing materials through monthly inventory reports.
  • Identify, maintain, and repair waterline systems to prevent water loss and ensure efficient delivery of potable water.
  • Ensure water quality and safety by monitoring treatment processes and conducting tests based on PNSDW standards.
  • Review and check completed water installation job orders from field offices.
  • Prepare monthly production reports for all pumping stations.
  • Monitor and document Non-Revenue Water (NRW) incidents, as well as contractors' daily activities and accomplishments.
  • Interact with customers to address water-related concerns such as low pressure, water quality, and distribution notices.
  • Perform other tasks that may be assigned by the General Manager or Engineering Department Manager.
  • Meet assigned monthly and annual performance targets.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a college-level Electrical or Mechanical course (or equivalent)
  • With 1–2 years of relevant work experience
  • Basic knowledge of electromechanical motor control
  • Can drive both four-wheel and two-wheel vehicles
  • Familiar with water distribution systems, plumbing, and water quality management
