ACCOUNTABLE TO: Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

ACCOUNTABLE FOR:  Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining full stack web applications across the front-end and back-end using modern frameworks and best practices

CLASSIFICATION: W8BEN, Full-Time Contractor

COMPENSATION RANGE: ₱567.25 PHP per hour (this is not USD)

SUMMARY OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Full Stack Web Developer is responsible for building, maintaining, and scaling web applications from front-end to back-end. This includes contributing to application architecture, database design, user interface development, API integrations, and DevOps deployments. The ideal candidate has strong experience in both client-side and server-side programming, understands responsive design principles, and thrives in a collaborative, agile development environment.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Front-End Development

• Build responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular)
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement wireframes and user journeys
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and performance optimization

Back-End Development

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and server-side logic using technologies such as , Python (Django/Flask), PHP (Laravel), Ruby on Rails, or .NET
• Design and manage relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
• Implement authentication, authorization, and data security protocols

Full Stack Engineering

• Deploy and monitor applications on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Heroku, Vercel)
• Use Git for version control and participate in collaborative workflows (pull requests, code reviews)
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Cypress
• Work in agile development cycles with Jira, Trello, or similar tools

Maintenance & Documentation

• Refactor legacy code to align with modern architecture patterns
• Create and maintain technical documentation for APIs, systems, and workflows
• Troubleshoot bugs and ensure minimal downtime and data loss
• Monitor site performance and resolve bottlenecks or load issues

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
• Frequent meetings via video or phone; occasional in-person site visits

COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

• Experience in healthcare tech, e-commerce, or SaaS development
• Familiarity with HIPAA-compliant development standards (if working in healthcare)
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Contentful)
  

LEVEL OF EDUCATION / TRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field OR equivalent work experience
• 2–5+ years of experience in full stack development
• Proficiency in front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) and back-end frameworks , Django, Laravel, .NET Core, etc.)
• Experience working with RESTful APIs, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms
• Solid understanding of web security, cross-site scripting, CORS, and other vulnerabilities
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
