Accounting Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and inventory accounting.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of financial statements and management reports.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with operations, procurement, and store management teams to validate sales, expenses, and inventory records.
  • Review and monitor retail-related financial metrics, such as sales performance, shrinkage, margins, and operating expenses.
  • Implement and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory agencies as required.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support business decisions and improve profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, government reporting, and statutory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required).
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Strictly requires retail industry experience (e.g., fashion, supermarket, convenience store, department store, F&B retail chain).
  • Strong knowledge of retail accounting processes including POS reconciliation, inventory management, and sales auditing.
  • Proficient in accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or equivalent) and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php80, Php100,000.00 per month
