Job Summary

The Senior System Administrator is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance of servers and systems. This role leads the infrastructure and systems administration team, coordinates upgrades and improvements, and implements best practices to support business continuity and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise daily operations of servers, data centers, and infrastructure systems
  • Ensure uptime, performance, and security of all infrastructure components (Windows, Linux, virtualization, and cloud environments)
  • Monitor system health, backups, and disaster recovery readiness
  • Plan and manage patching, updates, and infrastructure upgrades
  • Investigate and resolve infrastructure-related issues and escalations
  • Implement and enforce IT security, access control, and compliance standards
  • Collaborate with network, application, and cybersecurity teams
  • Prepare infrastructure performance, incident, and status reports for management
  • Recommend improvements to enhance system reliability and scalability

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, server, or systems administration
  • 1–2 years in a lead, supervisory, or senior technical role
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, virtualization technologies, and cloud platforms
  • Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and security tools
  • Strong leadership, troubleshooting, and communication skills
  • Willing to work onsite in Ortigas and on paid Saturdays if required
