Key duties often involve providing excellent customer service and obtaining necessary documentation, such as signatures or proof of delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading and Unloading: Accurately sort, pack, load, and unload packages onto the delivery vehicle, ensuring items are secure during transit.
• Transportation and Navigation: Safely operate a company or personal vehicle, adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations, and use navigation tools or knowledge of local routes to ensure efficient delivery.
• Delivery and Collection: Pick up parcels from senders and deliver them to recipients on assigned routes and within established timeframes. This can include both residential and business addresses.
• Documentation and Payment Handling: Obtain signatures or other proof of delivery, maintain accurate delivery logs and records, and collect payments (such as Cash On Delivery) when required.
• Customer Service: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor, answer customer questions, and communicate any delays or issues to dispatch and clients promptly.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues to ensure the vehicle remains in safe working condition.

Qualifications & Skills

• Required:

• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

• Ability to lift and carry packages, often up to 50 pounds or more, and perform physical tasks like walking and standing for extended periods.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and mobile delivery applications.

• Preferred:

• Prior experience as a courier or delivery driver.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of the local geographic area
