This role serves as the primary custodian of the Group's General Ledger and the lead for financial control across both Australian and Philippine operations. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Senior Financial Accountant will maintain the technical integrity of financial data, ensuring rigorous internal controls and strict adherence to accounting standards globally. While the financial control scope is group-wide, the role also encompasses specific operational management of the Philippine entity, including local payroll, AP/AR, and budgeting. This is a hands-on technical role dedicated to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the Group's financial records and organizing the finance function to an "audit-ready" standard at all times.

CPA certification is required at the time of application.

Minimum 2-3 years of financial accounting experience is required.

Group-Wide Financial Control (Australia & Philippines)

  • Financial Control & Governance: Maintain and enforce strict internal financial controls and standard operating procedures (SOPs) across the Group to ensure data integrity and mitigate risk.
  • Month-End Close Management: Lead a disciplined month-end close process for all Group entities, ensuring all accruals, prepayments, and journals are processed accurately and on time.
  • Balance Sheet Integrity: Perform and review detailed reconciliations for all Balance Sheet accounts (AU & PH) monthly, ensuring the ledger is strictly maintained and ready for internal review.
  • Intercompany Management: Manage and reconcile complex intercompany loan accounts between Australian and Philippine entities to ensure they balance to zero.
  • Prior intercompany accounting experience is preferred but not required for managing AU-PH transactions.
  • Technical Accounting: Ensure all transactions are recorded in accordance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., revenue recognition, lease accounting).
  • Audit Readiness: Maintain workpapers, schedules, and digital filing systems for the entire Group to a standard that simulates an external audit environment.

Philippines Operational Management

  • Philippine Payroll Management: Manage the end-to-end payroll process for the Philippines team only, including accurate calculation of salaries, overtime, 13th-month pay, and final pay using local platforms.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable (PH): Manage the full AP/AR function for Philippine operations, including vendor bill processing, payment scheduling, and management of local receivables.
  • Philippine Budgeting: Lead the preparation and delivery of the Annual Budget for the Philippine division, working closely with the CFO and local managers to forecast operational costs and monitor variance against actuals.

Philippine Statutory Compliance: Manage all local financial compliance obligations including BIR tax filings (monthly/quarterly/annual) and accurate remit of SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG contributions.

Prior experience with Philippine statutory compliance (BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) is required.
