About the Role

The Solutions Architect plays a critical role in designing, validating, and guiding the implementation of high-impact technology solutions for both internal stakeholders and external clients. This role ensures that system designs are scalable, secure, aligned with business requirements, and capable of supporting the company's long-term technology roadmap. The Solutions Architect serves as the bridge between business needs and technical execution—translating requirements into robust architectural blueprints.

Responsibilities

Architectural Design & Technical Leadership

• Develop end-to-end solution architectures covering application, data, integration, cloud, and security layers.
• Produce high-level and detailed technical designs, including diagrams, data flows, APIs, and system interfaces.
• Ensure proposed solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with industry best practices and TERRA standards.

Requirements Analysis & Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with business units, project managers, developers, and clients to understand functional and non-functional requirements.
• Translate business needs into clear technical specifications and architectural documentation.
• Provide expert guidance during project scoping, estimation, and feasibility studies.

Technology Evaluation & Innovation

• Evaluate existing systems and identify opportunities for optimization, modernization, or integration.
• Assess emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks, recommending adoption where beneficial.

Implementation Oversight & Quality Assurance

• Support development teams during build, integration, and deployment phases to ensure the architecture is followed.
• Conduct architecture reviews, code assessments, and compliance checks.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and guide teams toward effective solutions.

Documentation & Governance

• Maintain comprehensive architecture documents, design standards, integration guidelines, and technical reference materials.
• Contribute to the development of internal architectural frameworks, best practices, and governance policies.
• Ensure alignment with organizational security policies, compliance requirements, and IT governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in software development, systems engineering, or solutions architecture.
• Proven experience designing enterprise-level solutions (cloud, on-premise, hybrid environments).

Required Skills

• Strong background in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), virtualization, and containerization technologies.
• Expertise in systems integration, APIs, microservices, messaging queues, and enterprise middleware.
• Proficiency in architectural frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or similar.
• Solid understanding of databases, data modeling, ETL pipelines, and data security.
• Experience with DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, automation, IaC—Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Knowledge of enterprise-level security standards and best practices.

Preferred Skills

• Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect Expert, GCP Professional Architect).
• Experience with large-scale digital transformation projects.
• Familiarity with TERRA's ecosystem, products, and platforms (if applicable).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
