technical operations aide

Position Summary

The Technical Operations Aide supports the day-to-day technical, operational, and maintenance activities of the water system. He assists in ensuring continuous, safe, and efficient water supply operations, including fieldwork, meter servicing, basic repairs, and customer service support.

Key Responsibilities

1. Water System Operations

• Assist in monitoring daily water production and distribution.
• Conduct regular inspection of pipelines, tanks, pumps, valves, and other water system facilities.
• Support routine flushing, leak detection, and pressure monitoring activities.

2. Maintenance & Repair

• Assist in repairing minor leaks, breaks, and service line issues.
• Perform basic maintenance of pumps, motors, chlorinators, and other equipment (under supervision).
• Report and document any operational abnormalities or system failures.

3. Meter Reading & Servicing

• Conduct meter reading following the assigned schedule and route.
• Assist in meter installation, removal, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure accurate reporting of water consumption and meter condition.

4. Water Quality Monitoring

• Collect water samples for bacteriological, physical, and chemical testing.
• Assist in chlorine residual monitoring and recording.
• Support basic disinfection/chlorination procedures.

5. Customer Support

• Assist in addressing customer complaints related to low pressure, leaks, and meter concerns.
• Conduct on-site inspections to verify issues.
• Prepare field findings and recommend appropriate actions.

6. Administrative Tasks

• Prepare daily activity reports, service connection reports, and maintenance logs.
• Submit documentation for operations, repair requests, and incident reports.
• Support Operations Supervisor in implementing policies and programs.

Qualifications

• Senior High School graduate, Vocational course, or College level in any technical field.
• Background in plumbing, mechanical, electrical, or water operations is an advantage.
• Physically fit and willing to perform fieldwork.
• Basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and coordinate with teams.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From Php600.00 per day
