Qualifications:

  • Educational Background:
    Technical Certificate or Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or any related field.
  • Certification:
    Must have TESDA National Certificate II (NC II) in Welding or Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC).
  • Work Experience:
    At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in mechanical Maintenance, preferably in an industrial or building maintenance setting.
  • Skills & Knowledge:
    Hands-on experience with tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Location Requirement:
    Must be willing to work full-time on-site at Mandaluyong City.

Job Summary:

The Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and preventive maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems in industrial facilities. This role ensures machinery operates at peak performance, minimizing downtime and supporting continuous operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Inspection and Maintenance:

  2. Conduct regular inspections of mechanical systems and machinery to detect potential issues or abnormal conditions.

  3. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities in accordance with equipment manuals and company procedures.
  4. Ensure that all maintenance work adheres to safety regulations and operational standards.

2. Troubleshooting and Repairs:

  • Diagnose mechanical problems using technical manuals, engineering drawings, and diagnostic tools.
  • Repair or replace defective components such as motors, bearings, seals, pumps, gearboxes, compressors, and fans.
  • Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns and perform emergency repairs to minimize downtime.

3. Installation and Support:

  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and mechanical equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure the proper functioning of installed systems.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to reduce equipment failure rates and enhance overall efficiency.

4. Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including time spent, parts used, and observations made.
  • Report recurring equipment issues and suggest proactive solutions to management.
  • Ensure all maintenance logs, inspection checklists, and compliance reports are up to date.
