Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team. The Dishwasher will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. This role is vital to ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant and providing a clean environment for both staff and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, dishes, utensils, and pots.
  • Ensure that all items are cleaned to health department standards.
  • Keep the dishwashing area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Assist with kitchen prep work as needed.
  • Dispose of garbage and maintain trash cans throughout the shift.
  • Restock clean dishes and utensils for use by the kitchen and wait staff.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure the timely delivery of clean dishes and utensils.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or chef.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities.
