Overview

As part of the Think Forward Strategy, this leadership role is focused on creating a differentiating customer experience by simplifying and streamlining the organization, driving operational excellence, enhancing a high-performance culture, and expanding banking capabilities.

The Vice President – Financial Accounting (Global Circle Lead) will lead and manage global teams providing financial accounting and reporting services to business partners. This includes daily reconciliations, break resolutions, accounts receivable processing, month-end closing activities, monitoring suspense accounts, maintaining financial reference data, and ensuring compliance with financial documentation standards.

As a member of the global management team, you will contribute to setting strategic priorities, shaping the organization of the future, and ensuring delivery of best-in-class services through capability building, process improvement, and people leadership.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and develop high-performing teams across multiple locations, fostering autonomy, accountability, and strong collaboration.
  • Oversee financial accounting operations including reconciliations, reporting, closing activities, receivables processing, and account monitoring.
  • Drive strategic priorities into executable actions and deliverables while ensuring operational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with financial standards, regulatory requirements, and internal risk and control frameworks.
  • Develop expertise within the team, encourage continuous learning, and support personal and professional growth of team members.
  • Act as a role model, embedding values and a performance-driven culture within the organization.
  • Facilitate process standardization, continuous improvement initiatives, and reduction of inefficiencies across global finance operations.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders across functions and geographies to align priorities, deliver services, and manage expectations.
  • Ensure effective transition and adoption of modern ways of working within Finance operations.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven leadership experience managing Finance Operations teams for at least 3–5 years.
  • Strong background in Financial Accounting and Financial Reporting within a complex, global, and dynamic banking or financial services environment.
  • Deep knowledge of banking products, financial instruments, and IFRS-EU standards.
  • Preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-location teams of 20+ professionals.
  • Track record of delivering results under tight deadlines and driving change management initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience working across international markets.
  • Project management expertise with a focus on continuous improvement and transformation.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
