The Compliance Officer ensures that Good Neighbors Philippines adheres to internal policies, donor requirements, and local/international regulatory standards. This role monitors organizational processes, identifies potential compliance risks, and provides guidance to ensure ethical and legal integrity.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of internal policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Ensure organizational compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and donor requirements (e.g., DSWD, SEC, BIR, INGOs).
  • Conduct compliance audits and risk assessments across departments and programs.
  • Coordinate with department heads to develop compliance training and awareness programs.
  • Assist in the development and revision of compliance policies and manuals.
  • Manage compliance-related documentation, including licenses, certifications, and renewals.
  • Report compliance risks or breaches and recommend mitigation actions.
  • Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and donors regarding compliance issues.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Accountancy, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in compliance or regulatory affairs, preferably in the NGO or development sector.
  • Knowledge of local NGO regulatory landscape and donor compliance frameworks.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
