About the role

We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Manager to join our dynamic team in Quezon City, Metro Manila. In this full-time position, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction and operational excellence of our actuarial function, supporting the company's growth and expansion plans.

What you'll be doing

  1. Oversee the development and implementation of actuarial models, assumptions, and methodologies to support pricing, reserving, and financial reporting
  2. Analyse complex data and provide actuarial insights to inform business decisions and drive operational improvements
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring regulatory compliance and sound financial practices
  4. Lead and mentor a team of actuarial professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation
  5. Represent the actuarial function in strategic planning and contribute to the overall business strategy
  6. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to continuously enhance the company's actuarial capabilities

What we're looking for

  1. A bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related field, and a recognised actuarial qualification (e.g. FIA, FCAS, or FCAA)
  2. At least 8 years of progressive experience in an actuarial role, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry
  3. Proven track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing actuarial teams
  4. Demonstrated expertise in actuarial modelling, pricing, reserving, and financial reporting
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
  7. Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of compliance
