Job Title: Architectural Estimator & Project Support Specialist

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Estimator & Project Support Specialist to join our construction team. This multifaceted role combines technical and administrative responsibilities to support the design, estimation, and project coordination functions. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing material take-offs, assisting with construction estimates, creating architectural models, and providing administrative support throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Estimation & Take-Offs

  • Prepare accurate material take-offs from architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Assist in developing cost estimates for new and ongoing projects across various trades.
  • Analyze plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scope of work and project requirements.
  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing and lead times.

Architectural Modeling

  • Develop 3D architectural models using tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, or SketchUp.
  • Assist in updating construction drawings, layouts, and design concepts as needed.
  • Support project visualization and design coordination efforts.

Construction Administration

  • Provide general administrative support to the construction and estimating teams.
  • Organize project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, schedules, and meeting notes.
  • Track project progress, changes, and deliverables to ensure alignment with construction goals.
  • Communicate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to facilitate project workflow.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in architecture, Construction Management, Architectural, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2 years of relevant experience in estimation, drafting, modeling, or construction administration.
  • Proficiency in construction take-off and estimating software (Experience with Building Trend estimation software would be ideal).
  • Strong working knowledge of architectural modeling tools (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with design-build or general contractor teams.
  • Familiarity with construction project management tools (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or similar).
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and codes.
