Job Description

We are hiring an Electrical Design Engineer with experience in lighting design involving electrical distribution and apparatus design. The role requires a professional who can step in quickly and deliver high-impact work that goes beyond typical lighting design — focusing instead on electrical distribution systems, equipment specification, and implementation support.


Responsibilities
  • Design and develop power distribution systems (medium and low voltage)
  • Prepare single-line diagrams, load calculations, and cable schedules
  • Specify and coordinate electrical equipment (e.g., switchgear, transformers, panels)
  • Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, and client stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, IEEE and local electrical codes
  • Support implementation: answer RFIs, review submittals, and attend site meetings

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 3–7 years of experience in electrical design (power systems focus)
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and power system tools (e.g., SKM, ETAP)
  • Knowledge of electrical codes (NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE)
  • EIT preferred; PE license is a plus
  • Able to start immediately or within short notice
  • Preferably with graveyard shift experience
