About the role

Giovanni Construction is seeking an experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our team in Agusan del Sur Caraga. As a Dump Truck Driver, you will play a vital role in our mining operations, responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of materials from our quarry sites. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to be part of a growing and dynamic company in the mining industry.

What you'll be doing

• Operate a dump truck to transport various materials, such as soil, rocks, and other aggregates, from the extraction sites to designated dumping or storage areas
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe and proper working condition
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure the safety of yourself, your co-workers, and the public
• Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, including mileage, fuel consumption, and load details
• Collaborate with the wider mining team to ensure efficient and coordinated operations
• Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as checking fluid levels and tyre pressure, and report any issues to the maintenance team

What we're looking for

• Valid commercial driver's license with experience operating heavy machinery, preferably in a mining or construction environment
• Strong knowledge of traffic rules and regulations, and the ability to operate a dump truck in a safe and responsible manner
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Physically fit and able to perform the physical demands of the job, such as climbing in and out of the vehicle and loading/unloading materials
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and logs
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities as needed
