Finance Intern (Six-months, full-time)

Overview of the Role

As a Finance Intern, you will report to a Senior Finance Executive and work on internal and client-related financial operations.

You will support finance tasks (e.g. documentation, reporting, analysis, etc.) and be involved in part or all stages of financial cycles, from transaction processing to reporting and forecasting. You will work closely with various departments and stakeholders to understand financial requirements, assist in creating reports, and monitor financial performance to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities

Financial Operations

  • Assist in processing invoices, supplier bills, and reimbursements

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities

  • Help maintain accurate financial records and documentation

Documentation

  • Maintain up-to-date records of financial decisions, action items, and relevant documentation

  • Document financial procedures in coordination with stakeholders

Reporting & Analysis

  • Assist in preparing financial reports and dashboards

  • Support financial analysis and budget tracking

  • Help identify trends and insights from financial data

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts

  • Help monitor actuals vs. budget and flag discrepancies

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather financial inputs

Stakeholder Management & Coordination

  • Maintain regular communication with team members & stakeholders

  • Support team members in completing finance-related tasks

  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment

Requirements

Must-have skills

  • Knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles

  • Excellent verbal and written (English) communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail

  • Strong capacity in multitasking

  • Analytical thinking and adaptability to changing financial conditions

  • Ability to diplomatically manage competing priorities and requests

  • Tool: Microsoft Office, Xero

Nice-to-have skills

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools

  • Tools: Jira, Confluence

Mission duration: six-months, full-time
