About the role

Super Candy Corporation is seeking a meticulous and organised Accounting Assistant to join our team in Caloocan City, Metro Manila. In this full-time position, you will provide essential support to our Accounting department, ensuring accurate financial records and assisting with a variety of accounting tasks.

What you'll be doing

  • Performing general bookkeeping duties, including data entry, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements

  • Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, processing payments, and managing supplier/customer information

  • Maintaining and updating financial records and databases to ensure accuracy and completeness

  • Providing administrative support to the Accounting team, such as filing, document management, and responding to inquiries

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse financial data for reporting and decision-making

  • Adhering to internal controls and accounting policies to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance-related role, preferably in a small to medium-sized business

  • Strong proficiency in bookkeeping and accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Xero

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies

  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with finance and non-finance stakeholders

  • Familiarity with small practice accounting and bookkeeping principles and best practices
