Tayud Cebu, Philippines Nagasaka Shipyard Inc. Full time ₱900,000 - ₱1,200,000 per year

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the assigned vessel/project technical inspections
  • Generation of Condition Reports prior to assignment of Tasks/Work
  • Generation of Work Orders based on Condition Reports and/or approved work from vessel owners/representatives during arrival meeting and/or impromptu meetings on the field
  • Assignment of manpower (sub-con) for each approved Work Order
  • Generation of Gantt Charts for project monitoring
  • Supervises Clearance Measurement and Calibration activities and records results on the prescribed document (Tail-shaft Bearing, Rudder Bearing, Anchor Chain, etc.)
  • Supervises and records the manpower allocation of sub-contractors for each task on every vessel he/she is assigned on the Manpower Monitoring Form
  • Assign and manage the manpower allocation of Firewatch and Safety watch for each assigned vessel/project and records the data on the Firewatch Matrix
  • Coordinates with the Quality Control Officer with regards to quality control procedures and standards set by NSI
  • Acts as shipyard's liaison to Class Surveyors, Flag State Surveyors (MARINA), and Ship Owners/Owner Representatives during the duration of the project

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, or Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Professional engineering license is not required, but preferred
  • Capable of managing day to day work schedules
  • Strong organizational ability
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Willingness to work on-site and extend hours when necessary
  • Ability to coordinate effectively
