OVERVIEW:

The company is seeking for an experienced
Mortgage Broker Assistant / Loan Packager
who will work closely with an experienced mortgage broker, managing loan applications from start to finish.

This is a client-facing and hands-on role, ideal for someone with strong banking or finance experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting both clients and brokers through the loan process.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage loan files independently from application through to settlement.
  • Prepare accurate, compliant, and well-documented loan applications for various lending products including home loans, equipment finance, and personal loans.
  • Conduct servicing, pricing, and valuation assessments to ensure client eligibility and competitiveness.
  • Perform credit checks, extract income data, and prepare detailed loan proposals.
  • Liaise with clients, lenders, and banks via email to track progress and address queries promptly.
  • Stay up to date with lender policies, credit guidelines, and industry trends.
  • Contribute to the client retention process by maintaining a high level of service quality and follow-through.

    Conduct credit analysis to evaluate risk and strengthen loan recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in driving operational efficiency.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience: 2-5+ years of experience in banking, mortgage broking, or loan processing (Australian market experience preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with broker systems and loan platforms (e.g., ApplyOnline, Mercury, Podium)
  • Strong working knowledge of loan packaging, servicing, and credit checks.
  • Experience across multiple lending products (home, equipment, asset, or personal loans).
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document preparation.

  • Highly organized, results-focused, and capable of managing multiple loan files simultaneously.
  • Demonstrates initiative, accountability, and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  • Team player with a positive, professional attitude.

PREFERRED SKILLS (nice to have):

  • Experience with Australian lenders and mortgage products (preferred).
  • Tech-savvy with familiarity in loan CRMs, calculators, and digital document
