SAP BASIS / Environment Manager (Manager Level)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP BASIS professional to take on the role of Environment Manager at the Manager level. This role is critical in overseeing the technical landscape for SAP S/4HANA implementations, ensuring system stability, performance, and scalability across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, deep BASIS expertise, and experience managing complex SAP landscapes and project environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the SAP BASIS team in managing the technical landscape for SAP S/4HANA implementation projects.
  • Oversee system installations, upgrades, migrations, and patch management across SAP environments.
  • Manage SAP environments across development, quality, pre-production, and production systems.
  • Define and implement environment strategy, including refresh cycles, transport management, and cutover planning.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to ensure availability, performance, and compliance.
  • Support RISE with SAP, GROW with SAP, and SAP BTP deployments and integrations.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, job scheduling, and interface stability.
  • Ensure adherence to change management, incident management, and release management processes.
  • Provide technical leadership during go-lives, disaster recovery drills, and system audits.
  • Mentor junior BASIS consultants and contribute to knowledge sharing and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10–12 years of SAP BASIS administration, with at least 3 full-cycle S/4HANA implementations.
  • Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA system architecture, SAP HANA database administration, TMS, SAP Solution Manager/Focused Run.
  • Experience with SAP on Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and SAP BTP.
  • Familiarity with SAP Landscape Management (LaMa) and SAP Maintenance Planner.
  • Strong understanding of clean core principles, system extensibility, and upgrade planning.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP S/4HANA System Administration.
  • Experience in regulated industries (e.g., Life Sciences, Banking, Utilities).
  • Exposure to DevOps, automation tools, and monitoring platforms (Grafana, Prometheus).

Educational Background

Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Work Location: Makati, Hybrid (3x/week onsite on the first year, 1-2x/week on 2nd year onwards) - Dayshift Schedule
