About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is ideal for a fresh graduate with strong academic credentials (Latin honors or Dean's Lister), who is eager to start a career in accounting within the property management industry.
As an Apprentice Accountant, you will work closely with experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience in financial reporting, bookkeeping, and accounting processes specific to property and asset management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in recording daily financial transactions and maintaining general ledgers
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
- Help prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
- Perform bank reconciliations and assist with accounts payable/receivable
- Assist in preparing billing statements for tenants and tracking rental income
- Support audit processes by gathering documentation and data
- Maintain orderly accounting files and documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Property Managers, Admin, Operations)
- Perform other tasks assigned by the Finance Manager or Senior Accountant
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy
- Graduated with Latin honors (Cum Laude or higher) or recognized as a Dean's Lister
- CPA License is a plus but not required
- Strong foundation in accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic knowledge of accounting software
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced work environment
- Integrity, professionalism, and strong attention to detail
