Apprentice Accountant

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is ideal for a fresh graduate with strong academic credentials (Latin honors or Dean's Lister), who is eager to start a career in accounting within the property management industry.

As an Apprentice Accountant, you will work closely with experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience in financial reporting, bookkeeping, and accounting processes specific to property and asset management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in recording daily financial transactions and maintaining general ledgers
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
• Help prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
• Perform bank reconciliations and assist with accounts payable/receivable
• Assist in preparing billing statements for tenants and tracking rental income
• Support audit processes by gathering documentation and data
• Maintain orderly accounting files and documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Property Managers, Admin, Operations)
• Perform other tasks assigned by the Finance Manager or Senior Accountant

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy
• Graduated with Latin honors (Cum Laude or higher) or recognized as a Dean's Lister
• CPA License is a plus but not required
• Strong foundation in accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficiency in MS Excel and basic knowledge of accounting software
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced work environment
• Integrity, professionalism, and strong attention to detail
