The aim is to prepare tax returns of individuals, businesses or other organisations by performing the following duties.

RESPOSIBILITIES:

  • Preparation of tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, individuals and super funds
  • Completion of tax plans for clients
  • Preparation of financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships and sole traders from client records including computer packages
  • Compiles and analyses financial information to prepare entries to accounts and documenting business transactions
  • Preparing interim financials for businesses and working on tax planning ideas with the Manager and Principal
  • Preparing cash flows, cash book reconciliation, payment summaries, receipt summaries, business activity statements, installment activity statements etc.
  • Completion of special projects for clients
  • Preparation of Independent Financial Reports prepared for QBCC (Queensland Building and Construction Commission)

ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • An understanding of the team's clients
  • Can process an Australian taxation job efficiently and accurately
  • Individual and team productivity and budget reached consistently.

QUALIFICATIONS/ATTRIBUTES:

  • Australian taxation accounting experience
  • General accounting experience
  • Excellent communication and analytical ability
  • Accepts responsibility and uses initiative
  • CPA preferred, completed relevant business degree with a major in accounting is a must
  • Proven ability to work unsupervised
