Junior Executive, Graphic Designer

PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE (OF THIS POSITION):

The Junior Graphic Designer is an essential part of our creative team, assisting in the development of visually striking designs for both online and offline media. This role is not only about acquiring and refining technical skills, but it's also about bringing creativity to the table. You'll be joining ideation sessions, pitching campaign-themed designs, and adapting key visuals across various platforms and channels. In collaboration with Senior Graphic Designers and the Creative Director, you will have the chance to learn and immerse in our company's brand identity while contributing to effective visual communication for our audience. In essence, this role is an exciting opportunity to grow, learn, and express your creativity while being an integral part of a dynamic creative team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Part 1 –Primary roles of the job which are measurable and may be used as part of KPIs

● Assist in the development and execution of digital and print materials including but not limited to websites, social media graphics, emails, brochures, logos, and presentations

● Participate in ideation sessions, contribute to the development of design concepts, and pitch campaign-themed designs and visuals

● Adapt key visuals for different platforms and channels under the guidance of Senior Graphic Designers

● Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines and maintain consistency across all platforms

● Assist in managing multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring successful execution and meeting of deadlines

Part 2 – Secondary roles which support the primary roles above

● Stay informed about design trends, software updates, and new techniques to enhance skill set and the quality of designs produced

● Assist with photography and videography needs as required

● Collaborate with Senior Graphic Designers and provide input on designs and projects

● Provide suggestions and feedback on designs to the Senior Graphic Designers and Creative Director as needed

JOB AUTHORITIES:

● Assist in making design decisions that align with brand guidelines and maintain consistency across all platforms

● Support in managing and executing design projects, ensuring that they meet deadlines

● Provide guidance and support to Graphic Design interns, helping them understand and apply brand guidelines

● Collaborate with team members to provide input and feedback on designs

● Request and receive feedback on their designs from the Senior Graphic Designers, Creative Director, and other team members

JOB COMPETENCIES / REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications

● Degree or certification in Graphic Design, Visual Arts or a related field

● At least 1 year of experience as a Graphic Designer or a relevant internship experience, with a portfolio showcasing digital and print design work

● Any experience in an agency or fast-paced client-side environment is a plus

Skills & Knowledge

● Creative eye and exceptional attention to detail

● Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as Google Slides

● Basic skills in digital imaging, FA, and graphic design

● Basic motion graphics/video editing skills are a bonus

● Good communication skills, both verbal and written

● Detail-oriented with good organisational skills

● Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
