SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyzes customer buying pattern and predicting future trends;
  • Presenting new ranges of products and recommends to the Sr. Merchandise Manager;
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with departments to forecast future needs, ensuring adequate stock for operations.
  • Maintains professional relationship with existing supplier and regularly coordinates  to ensure that products are delivered on time;
  • Sourcing new suppliers for future products;
  • Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements
  • Participates in promotional activities
  • Liaising with store personnel to ensure proper implementation of planogram and promotions
  • Address and resolve discrepancies in orders, invoices, and supply chain disruptions to maintain smooth operation
  • Suggest new ideas to Sr. Merchandise Manager and gives feedback on merchandising concerns from the branches.
  • Canvass market for merchandise mix, prices, competitive activities and trends. Gives feedback regarding competitors
  • Prepare and maintain accurate purchasing records, reports, and analyses market trends and supplier performance
  • Supports Management decisions, requirements and expectations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with internal departments and external vendors
  • Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time.
