Developer / Programmer

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a programmer or in a relevant role.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as PHP, JavaScript, and others.
• Experience developing web applications using frameworks (e.g., Laravel 8+, React/Vue JS).
• Strong knowledge of relational databases like SQL.
• Detail-oriented with excellent concentration ability.
• Analytical mindset and critical thinking skills.
• Proven ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve code errors efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with systems analysts and other developers to produce software designs.
• Propose solutions in collaboration with colleagues.
• Develop concepts, products, and solutions by coordinating with stakeholders.
• Understand customer expectations for to-be-implemented projects.
• Establish project goals and priorities by collaborating with stakeholders.
• Foster customer relationships through checking, review, customer visits, and systems testing.
• Support the implementation of the company's and department's plans and programs.
• Adhere to company and department procedures, policies, and principles.

Software Design & Development:

• Design and build web applications using frameworks and scripting languages.
• Formulate program specifications and basic prototypes.
• Transform software designs and specifications into high-functioning code.
• Integrate individual software solutions into higher-level systems.
• Use web-based tools to create advanced SaaS when applicable.

Testing & Maintenance:

• Test projects and address any problems or bugs revealed.
• Test code periodically to ensure desirable results and perform debugging as needed.
• Upgrade and fix bugs in existing code to enhance security and efficiency.

Reporting & Improvement:

• Report on web application functionality and devise improvement plans.
• Research and adopt improved technologies used by competitors and customers.
• Ensure research projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Attend industry conferences on relevant research topics.

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:

• Document all phases of development.
• Collaborate with technical writers to create user support documentation.
• Transfer new technologies and processes into and out of the company.

Other Tasks:

• Observe and promote safe working practices and maintain tidy work areas.
• Support the implementation of company and department plans and programs.
• Follow company and department procedures, policies, and principles.
• Perform other tasks as assigned in connection with the position.
