Description

The essential function of this job is the ability to meet contractors on a face-to-face basis outside the store to provide extended sales and service.  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.   Service customer by complying with the professional standards of language and appearance and adhering to proper customer service guidelines.  Ability to navigate on a PC.  Possess a valid California driver's license and have a good driving record. Ability to lift up to 100lbs.  Periods of standing; bending; twisting; stooping; lifting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Initiate and maintain contractor accounts by contacting potential customers through outside sales calls.

Prepare material and price estimates, and deliver to customers.

Develop sales leads and follow through on those leads.

Achieve sales and gross margin budgets.

Review contractor credit accounts to ensure proper credit limits are in place  and that the accounts are current.

Locate merchandise that is not stocked in the store for contractor accounts.

Ensure delivery dates are met and provide feedback to drivers and loaders.

Performs other duties that may be assigned, as deemed necessary, by management.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to read blueprints and have extended math skills.  Possess a thorough knowledge of the building industry and communicate effectively with the public.  High school diploma or G.E.D. completion.
