Customs Broker

Responsibilities

• Classify goods accurately using the Philippine Tariff and Customs Code (AHTN codes)
• Prepare, file, and process customs declarations through BOC's E2M and CPRS systems
• Ensure compliance with all customs rules, regulations, and documentary requirements
• Liaise with government agencies (BOC, PEZA, FDA, etc.) to secure necessary permits and clearances
• Review import/export documents (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, COO, etc.) for accuracy
• Monitor shipment status and ensure timely release of cargo from ports
• Represent the company in customs examinations, assessments, and hearings when needed
• Advise management on updates in customs laws, duties, and trade compliance
• Supervise customs processors, documentation clerks, and other customs-related staff
• Maintain proper documentation and records for audit and compliance purposes

Qualifications

• Licensed Customs Broker (mandatory)
• Bachelor's degree in Customs Administration, Logistics, or related field
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in customs brokerage, freight forwarding, or logistics
• Strong knowledge of customs laws, BOC procedures, tariff classification, and import/export regulations
• Familiarity with BOC's E2M system, CPRS, and related platforms
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
