Job Purpose
The Category Lead is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process for critical categories. The role involves conducting market research, developing sourcing strategies, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products while optimizing costs.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Sourcing Strategy: Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies that aligns with STC goals, ensuring a consistent supply of quality products at competitive prices.
· Negotiation: Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, and contract terms while maintaining strong ethical standards.
· Market Trends: Stay up-to-date with market trends, technological advancements, and best practices in procurement to drive innovation and efficiency.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree graduate of any course.
- With 5 to 10 years of experience in Purchasing, preferably with Supervisory experience
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Experience in a similar industry or with similar product categories is a plus.
- Must be amenable to work on emergency assignments as required.
