Quality Engineering

Quality Engineer will work on small/large scale Agile projects, do manual/automation testing, defect retest fixes and other initiatives for code releases and help on test creation based on documents provided. Some functional testing will be required, but the focus will be on automation.

Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities

• Perform the activities within testing lifecycle
• Create test plans and suggest improvements to the testing process
• Build, maintain and review test cases based on business requirements and communicate with other teams as necessary to obtain clarification on project scope to ensure a successful project implementation and participate in team estimations
• Developing automated testing suites and expand test coverage by identifying gaps and implement new automated test and integrate in CI/CD pipelines
• Perform test execution (manual and automation) for functional and non-functional testing and document results
• Perform peer review
• Monitor open bugs and perform retests and follow up to respective development team/s
• Follow testing standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement to current testing process
• Good collaboration and coordination for successful teamwork between engineers of different levels and manage challenges that arise in different projects and cross-functional workstreams

Skills & Experience

• 3-4 years of quality engineer experience with a solid background in writing structured automated tests
• Intermediate in Test Automaton Frameworks (example: Cucumber, Playwright or Cypress)
• Intermediate level of experience in test of automation programming language preferably Java
• Intermediate level of experience in REST API Test Automation practices and tools (example: JMeter, Postman)
• Intermediate level of experience in shift left testing approach functional and non-functional testing practices, including Performance Testing
• Intermediate level of experience in CI/CT/CD practices and tools: Git-based repositories, Jenkins, JIRA etc.
• Intermediate level of experience in Cloud applications
• Independent and ability to multi-task and proactive in different activities
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to work well with cross-functional teams in multiple geographies
