Project Engineer

Job Description:

The Project Engineer is responsible for managing and executing all technical aspects of assigned projects — from planning and installation to testing and final turnover. This includes overseeing the installation, calibration, and programming of equipment to ensure systems are fully operational and meet client specifications.

The role involves coordinating with project teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to design standards and safety regulations. The Project Engineer also supervises technical staff, monitors project progress, and prepares necessary documentation for commissioning and turnover.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all engineering and technical aspects of assigned projects.
  • Interpret drawings, prepare material take-offs, schedules, and manpower plans.
  • Supervise site engineers, technical supervisors, and technicians.
  • Ensure installations comply with design, quality, and safety standards.
  • Conduct site inspections, testing, calibration, and commissioning.
  • Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor project progress, costs, and resources; prepare reports and documentation.
  • Handle project turnover, including as-built plans and acceptance testing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, or IT related field)
  • With technical experience in supervisory or team leader role
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, drawings, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in project tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, Excel).
  • Skilled in troubleshooting, site management, and quality assurance.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Detail-oriented and results-driven.
  • Willing to travel and be assigned to project sites.
