About the role

The Cadet Engineer will assist in the overall operation, maintenance, and improvement of building facilities under the Property Management Division. This position serves as a training and development role for newly graduated engineers, providing hands-on experience in electrical, mechanical, and civil building systems. The Cadet Engineer supports daily maintenance activities, monitors contractors, and ensures that property operations run efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist in inspecting, monitoring, and maintaining building facilities, utilities, and equipment (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and civil works).
  • Support senior engineers and technicians in implementing preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Participate in the evaluation of building systems and recommend improvement measures.
  • Monitor and coordinate with contractors and service providers during repair or project works.
  • Assist in the preparation of maintenance reports, job orders, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct regular site checks to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Help in cost estimation and planning for facility improvement projects.
  • Attend training sessions and technical briefings to enhance knowledge in property management operations.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome; experience in building operations, maintenance, or property management is an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of building systems (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC).
  • Familiar with AutoCAD or basic engineering software (an advantage).
  • Familiarity with construction processes, project management principles and relevant industry regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to technical operations.
  • Good communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work in field assignments and learn hands-on.
