Job DescriptionOur Director of Engineering will be responsible in all Software Engineering capability required to maintain and evolve the product suites. As the most senior person in our center in Philippines, you are also accountable for overseeing the success of our Manila site, including spearheading our expansion and managing transition to an offshore delivery model. You will be expected to collaborate strongly with Product, Architecture and Infrastructure Directors and have significant input to the Product and Technology strategy and roadmap

You will be responsible for establishing key metrics for the performance of the Software Engineering capability, in line with high performance and continuous development

To provide strong input into Product and Technology roadmaps to drive improvement and modernization of our Java and / or .Net applications, including software architecture

To drive the improvement of the Software Engineering function through tools, technologies, standards, and ways of working

To manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and timelines

The Successful ApplicantWe are looking for experienced software leader with a proven track record of building and driving a successful mixed on/offshore Software Engineeringorganization. Open to various industry (ideally a technology driven organization), with a strong preference from technology or SaaS firms.Leadership and Management - proven track record of hiring, scaling and managing high performing delivery teams who work in a hybrid working pattern

Proven track record of managing complex and multi technology environments, ideally including Java and / or .NET related technologies for a SaaS business, and ideally in cloud & microservice environment

Proven track record of managing and modernising large legacy codebases, evolving for modern delivery practices

Proven track record in delivering high quality, large-scale, high-performance software following modern process

Knowledge of DevOps principles, practices and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes / EKS-based container orchestration, Azure DevOps) a plus
