CMD Prime Builders Inc. is looking for a Cost and Planning Engineer to support project development, bidding, and implementation through detailed cost analysis, scheduling, and planning coordination. The role involves preparing bid documents, tracking budgets, analyzing costs, and coordinating with design and construction teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review bid documents, BOQs, technical specifications, and drawings.
  • Coordinate the entire bidding process from solicitation to evaluation and award recommendation.
  • Verify contractor qualifications and ensure compliance with project and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in cost estimation, budgeting, and value engineering for both in-house and external projects.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and progress tracking reports.
  • Support pre-construction planning through feasibility studies, cost estimates, and procurement planning.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and suppliers to ensure design and cost alignment.
  • Manage documentation and payments for scaffolding, equipment, and tool rentals.
  • Monitor project expenditures, progress, and resource utilization.
  • Prepare regular project reports and presentations for management meetings.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Proven experience in the construction industry (construction project coordination, bidding and procurement, or quantity surveying.)
  • Proven experience in preparing bid documents, technical specifications, Bill of Quantities (BOQs), and contract documentation.
  • Background in coordinating design and documentation for in-house developments and managing construction-related administrative tasks.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCad and other Technical Project Management Software
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Working Conditions:
