About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer based in the Philippines to join our growing Data & Analytics team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions, with a strong focus on SAP data integration and Data Lake architectures. You will work closely with business stakeholders, SAP teams, and cloud platform engineers to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and optimized for analytics and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines integrating data from SAP into enterprise Data Lakes.

Develop and optimize data models, schemas, and transformation logic for analytics and reporting.

Collaborate with SAP functional and technical teams to understand source systems and data structures.

Ensure data pipelines are robust, secure, and meet performance SLAs.

Work with Data Lake technologies (e.g., AWS S3, Azure Data Lake, or GCP equivalents) to manage large-scale datasets.

Automate data ingestion, transformation, and validation processes.

Implement data governance and data quality frameworks to maintain trust in data assets.

Partner with business analysts, data scientists, and BI developers to deliver high-quality data solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.

Strong hands-on experience with SAP data extraction and integration techniques.

Practical expertise with Data Lake platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Strong SQL skills for data transformation and analysis.

Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.

Experience with ETL/ELT tools and pipeline orchestration frameworks.

Understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and best practices for large-scale analytics.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

Excellent communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SAO, Data Lake, or Spark for large-scale data processing.

Familiarity with SAP HANA and SAP BW/4HANA.

Knowledge of cloud-based data integration tools (AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, etc.).

Background in Agile delivery environments.
