Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics to assess vehicle condition and performance.
  • Identify mechanical, electrical, and structural issues affecting vehicle safety or efficiency.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and drivers to schedule service and resolve mechanical concerns.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, findings, and completed work.
  • Ensure all work complies with company standards, manufacturer specifications, and legal requirements.
  • Monitor and manage parts, tools, and equipment inventory to support efficient operations.
  • Support implementation of preventive maintenance programs and reliability initiatives.
  • Provide technical input on equipment performance and recommend improvements.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe, organized, and compliant workshop environment.
  • Collaborate with other team members to meet operational targets and reduce downtime.
  • Stay updated on new technologies, tools, and best practices related to truck systems and fleet management.
  • Uphold all health, safety, and environmental standards in daily activities.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training preferred.
  • Proven experience in truck, diesel, or heavy vehicle mechanical work.
  • Solid understanding of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and specifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication, organization, and teamwork abilities.
  • Valid driver's license; commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work including lifting, standing, and bending.
  • Comfortable working under various conditions.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts as required by operations.
