Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate workplace safety and health programs in compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS) and other related laws.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and job hazard analyses to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead accident/incident investigations and prepare comprehensive reports with recommendations for prevention.
  • Supervise and guide lower-level safety officers and safety committees in carrying out safety initiatives.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate safety and health records, reports, and documentation for compliance and auditing purposes.
  • Coordinate and conduct safety orientations, trainings, and drills (e.g., fire, earthquake, emergency response).
  • Monitor and ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Advise management and employees on occupational safety and health matters and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) requirements, including OSH reports and certifications.
  • Perform other related tasks as may be assigned.
