I. Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Prompt dispensing of requested items (supplies and equipment)

  2. Correct charging of all requested items.

  3. Makes supplies and packed them for sterilization.

  4. Checks and packs instruments and special set for sterilization.

  5. Attends to patient's complaint or relatives regarding CS Charging.

  6. Receives telephone call politely on clearance charges, etc.

  7. Forward charges to the billing section before the cut-off time.

  8. Checks basic supplies and stock ready for use on demand.

  9. Maintains and keeps unit orderly, clean and provide safe environment for working.

  10. Participates in the planning and improvement of the unit.

  11. Attends all meetings called for by unit, department and hospital.

  12. Carries out specified and delegated functions from the unit head and makes proper endorsement every start and end of the shift.

  13. Receive and issue medical supplies to authorized personnel and other necessary supplies needed by patients.

  14. Dispense medical supplies

  15. Enter daily charges to the bin card.

  16. Charging al medical supplies taken out by staff nurse to the patients.

  17. Receive medical oxygen for hospital use.

  18. Prepare gauze, cotton balls and other CS supplies for autoclaving.

  19. Operate autoclave machine.

  20. Performs other assignments as required/ directed by authorized personnel.
